The builder and the line check
The opener you pick, the topic and audience you type and the first line you paste are handled by code running in your own browser tab. None of it is uploaded, and it disappears when you leave the page.
Visit statistics
We do not ask for your name or email. To learn which parts of the page help, the site records a few anonymous facts: that a page loaded, the address you came from, how far down you scrolled and which test button you pressed. With each of those it sends your browser language, your device's operating system and a random ID stored in your browser so a return visit is recognised. Your IP address is used to estimate a rough location and is not stored in full.
Where the statistics go
The site's own server forwards these records to an analytics provider that keeps them on servers in the European Union. We use them for one purpose: making this page better. They are never sold or handed to advertisers.
Browser storage, no cookies
This site sets no cookies. In your browser's storage it keeps the random ID, a session marker that resets after thirty minutes without activity, your light or dark choice and, if you close it, a note that the bottom test bar should stay hidden. Deleting this site's data in your browser settings clears all of it. If a blocker stops the statistics script, every feature still works.
The test buttons
Each test button points to /opening-drill on this site. That address reads only your browser's user agent: Android phones are sent to the Confidently listing on Google Play, with the button's position on this page added as a referrer, and every other device goes to the App Store. Nothing about the redirect is logged. From the store onward, Apple's or Google's terms and the app's own privacy policy apply.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete any records tied to your random ID by emailing the address above. Because we never learn who you are, clearing this site's storage in your browser also cuts the link straight away.
